SA Automotive to build a new plant in Coahuila

SA Automotive has announced plans to develop a new 23,226-square-meter manufacturing plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, as part of its strategy to expand production capacity in North America.

The project will be carried out in collaboration with SACO AEI, the company’s sister division, with the facility’s initial phase to cover 11,613 m² and focus on compression and injection molding processes for automotive interior and acoustic applications. Operations are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.

The plant is designed to integrate processing, assembly, and manufacturing technologies to meet the needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry.

According to SA Automotive, the investment will expand its manufacturing footprint in North America and strengthen its portfolio of advanced technologies, integrated processes, and scalable production solutions.

The facility will also feature direct access to rail infrastructure and silos for raw materials. According to the company, these features are intended to improve operational efficiency and provide a flexible, scalable manufacturing platform.

The project will bring engineering, advanced processing technologies, assembly, and production capabilities together under one roof. Although SA Automotive has not disclosed investment amounts, expected job creation, or production volumes, the company says the facility will support the integration of multiple manufacturing processes to meet the needs of its automotive customers across North America.

Through this project, SA Automotive aims to strengthen its position as a manufacturing partner for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers by offering comprehensive services and build-to-print manufacturing solutions.
