Guanajuato Reports Manufacturing Production of US$43.9 Million

Guanajuato has established itself as one of the leading drivers of Mexico's manufacturing industry. From January through August 2026, the state reached a production value of US$43.9 billion, ranking second nationwide, according to manufacturing sector results for this period.

At the same time, the state posted a year-over-year growth of 0.8%, compared with a 0.1% decline nationwide over the same period in 2025. This result demonstrates Guanajuato’s productive capacity and the importance of its industry to the country’s economic development.

One of the main drivers of this activity has been the manufacture of transportation equipment, a sector in which Guanajuato ranks first nationally with a production value of approximately US$23.6 billion, reflecting a cumulative annual increase of 2.4%.

These results reinforce the role of Guanajuato’s manufacturing industry as a driver of the state's economy and as a strategic platform for Mexico's productive development.
