GEMMSA facility inaugurated in Saltillo

The GIASA Group inaugurated the GEMMSA Estructuras Metálicas plant in Saltillo, Coahuila: a project that represented an investment of more than US$34.4 million in its first phase and aims to strengthen the industrial capacity of the Southeast region, as well as boost the creation of specialized jobs.

During the inauguration ceremony, Coahuila Governor Manolo Jimenez Salinas noted that the opening of the new facility is taking place amid a context of national and international economic uncertainty, and he affirmed that the state continues to establish itself as a destination for industrial projects.

According to data from INEGI, Coahuila was recently ranked as the state with the highest life satisfaction in the country, and cities such as Saltillo, Torreon, and Piedras Negras are among the safest in Mexico—conditions that bolster companies’ confidence in expanding their operations.

With this first phase of investment, Grupo GIASA is expanding its industrial presence in Coahuila through a new facility designed to increase its production capacity for metal structures—a project that bolsters manufacturing activity in the Southeast region and adds to the industrial investments announced for the state.
