Production value of aerospace equipment manufacturing rises 21.2% in June

According to the Monthly Manufacturing Industry Survey (EMIM) conducted by INEGI, the total production value for items manufactured in the aerospace equipment sector was US$20 million (current prices) in June 2026, representing a year-over-year increase of 21.2%.

From January through June, the indicator totaled US$113 million in current prices, with a trend that continued the monthly increases seen from January through April, followed by a decline in May and a resumption of the upward trend in June.

The total number of employees in this economic sector stood at 42,121 in June, representing a 15.2% year-over-year increase, compared with a 2.4% increase from the previous month.

The indicator also showed monthly increases from January through April, followed by declines in May and June.

On the other hand, capacity utilization at the plant used for the manufacture of aerospace equipment stood at 92.9% in June, marking the highest level of the half-year and coming in 4.7 percentage points above the 88.2% recorded in May.

Thus, on a year-over-year basis, the indicator showed a 1.2% increase.

Using figures at current prices—which reflect the impact of price changes—INEGI reported preliminary data starting in August 2025, which were revised for the period from January through June of that year.
