Aerospace electronics manufacturer Esterline to expand operations in Tijuana

U.S.-based aerospace components manufacturer Esterline announced an investment of US$ 15 million for the expansion of one of the four plants the company operates in the border city of Tijuana, aiming to increase its production capacity.

The company has a presence in Baja California since 1980 and to date its workforce consists of 1,000 workers. In Tijuana, Esterline produces electronics and sensor equipment for the aerospace industry, and that with the expansion that it expects to conclude before the end of the year, it will open another 400 jobs.

The announcement of the project was made during the international aerospace fair in Farnborough, United Kingdom, after the president of the Sensors Division, Pierre Rossignol met with a delegation from the government of Baja California, state where Tijuana is located, headed by the governor Francisco Vega de Lamadrid
