AMMPER investing US$5 million in center of excellence

Energy investment in Queretaro continues to grow with the opening of AMMPER’s Center of Operational Excellence in Huimilpan; a project that involved more than US$5 million and created 1,400 direct and indirect jobs.
The new center is positioned as a leader in electrical engineering and energy operations; this type of infrastructure is key to sustaining growth in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and data centers, which require a reliable power supply.
AMMPER has driven power generation initiatives in Queretaro that collectively exceed US$500 million in investment, which has triggered more than US$3 billion in associated projects in the state.
This responds not only to current demand but also to the need to anticipate the industrial development that nearshoring will bring, where energy capacity becomes a competitive differentiator compared to other regions.
The project reinforces Queretaro’s position as an attractive destination for investment by combining legal certainty, infrastructure, and specialized talent.
The expansion of private electricity infrastructure in the state anticipates a scenario where energy not only accompanies industrial growth but also enables it, consolidating Queretaro as a strategic hub in the country’s energy and productive transformation.
