Bombardier drives aerospace industry for two decades

Queretaro established itself as a leader in Mexico’s aerospace industry during the celebration of Bombardier’s 20th anniversary, a company whose arrival marked a turning point for the state’s manufacturing and technological development.
Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, head of SEDATU, emphasized that large companies not only create jobs but also transform entire ecosystems. In this regard, Bombardier’s presence spurred investment, technology transfer, and the development of world-class human capital—elements that strengthened the state’s competitiveness.
Martin Dugas, General Manager of Bombardier’s Manufacturing Sites in Mexico, stated that the company’s continued presence in Queretaro is the result of coordinated efforts with state and federal authorities over the past two decades.
He emphasized that in Mexico, the company found talent and competitiveness that have contributed to the firm’s growth. He also noted that when Bombardier made the decision to invest in Queretaro, the industrial landscape of the aerospace sector was different and a consolidated ecosystem did not yet exist.
