Coahuila accounts for 15.7% of the nation’s auto parts production

The Coahuila state government has announced in a press release that the state remains the national leader in auto parts production, accounting for 15.7% of the country's total output.

According to the report on cumulative figures from January through May of this year by the National Auto Parts Industry (INA), the value of production totals US$8,3 million.

According to the report issued by the INA, five regions accounted for 58.8% of national auto parts production, with the Northern Region maintaining a 44.1% share and a production value of US$23.2 million. Meanwhile, the Bajio Region accounts for 35.9% of this national production, with US$19 million; finally, the Central Region contributed 14.9%, with US$7.8 million.

“These results underscore the strong position of Coahuila’s automotive and components industry, as well as the confidence placed in the state to carry out productive projects, create jobs, and strengthen supply chains,” said State Governor Manolo Jiménez.

The statement highlighted that Coahuila’s position in the automotive sector has been the result of a combination of factors that have helped establish the state as one of Mexico’s leading industrial hubs.

According to the report provided by the INA, domestic production of automotive components totaled US$52.8 million between January and May of this year, representing a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

This performance placed the industry just 0.38% below the level recorded during the same months of 2024, thus setting a record for auto parts production in the country.

From January through May of this year, average monthly production reached US$10.5 million, representing an approximate 6.6% increase compared to last year’s monthly average.
