FABTECH: Investments in metallurgy sector

FABTECH Mexico 2026 welcomed more than 13,700 visitors, 450 exhibiting companies, and 1,200 global brands to Mexico City, with the aim of fostering new business opportunities, strengthening supply chains, and accelerating the technological integration of the metalworking industry in North America.

The event brings together sectors such as advanced manufacturing, welding, automation, surface finishing, and metalworking, welcoming companies from Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

FABTECH expects to generate tourism revenue exceeding US$13.37 million and business opportunities worth over US$200 million; figures that would represent growth of between 15% and 20% compared to the previous edition.

Rodolfo Alpizar, president of the Metalworking Sector of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry, noted that FABTECH has established itself as a networking platform for companies seeking to strengthen their competitiveness, expand business opportunities, and adapt to an increasingly demanding market.

He also noted that regional integration among Mexico, the United States, and Canada opens new opportunities to expand manufacturing capabilities and strengthen collaboration between companies, industry organizations, and business chambers.
