Japanese companies seek to expand in Guanajuato

During her working visit to Japan, Guanajuato’s Secretary of Economy, Cristina Villaseñor, held meetings with companies seeking to strengthen their supply chains and expand their operations into North America. The state promoted its industrial capacity, specialized talent, and supplier network as key factors for attracting new projects.
In Gifu, the state delegation met with executives from MINO Industry, a company focused on the production of high-precision aluminum automotive components; the conversation centered on opportunities for industrial expansion and the growth of advanced manufacturing in Guanajuato.
The agenda continued in Aichi with HAJIME Industry, a firm specializing in plastic components and resin parts for the automotive industry. Both parties analyzed the global outlook for the automotive sector and the competitive advantages Guanajuato offers for new manufacturing projects.
The tour also included a meeting in Tokyo with executives from KAO, a leading company in specialty chemicals, personal care, and industrial solutions. The meeting allowed for the exploration of potential opportunities for industrial collaboration and technological development in the state.
The state government highlighted that Guanajuato maintains a strategic position within the Mexican automotive industry thanks to its infrastructure, logistical location, and export capacity.
