Mexico and Canada Sign Agreement to Boost Aerospace Industry

Mexico and Canada have signed a new cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening talent development, research, and innovation in the aerospace sector, with the goal of building a binational framework for academic and technological collaboration.
The agreement was formalized during a commercial mission involving economic authorities and includes the participation of educational institutions and specialized organizations from both countries. The initiative seeks to deepen ties between universities, research centers, and industry players to accelerate the development of high-impact technologies.
Key elements of the agreement include academic mobility programs, researcher exchanges, and knowledge transfer initiatives, as well as the creation of joint projects designed to translate scientific advances into practical industrial applications. The partnership also aims to promote mechanisms that directly connect research efforts with the productive sector.
Officials highlighted that the collaboration aligns with existing bilateral strategies and efforts to strengthen North American value chains, particularly in a sector recognized for its high specialization, innovation, and global growth potential.
Through this agreement, both nations aim to expand cooperation in science and technology, enhance regional competitiveness, and reinforce their position in the global aerospace industry.
