Mixed air terminal in Oaxaca

The Airport at Ixtepec, Oaxaca, has been enabled as a mixed air terminal (civilian-military operation), which promotes air connectivity and economic development at “El Itsmo de Tehuantepec” in the south of Mexico. The federal government, in coordination with the Department of Communication and Transportation (SCT); the Department of National Defense (SEDENA) and Airports and Auxiliary Services (ASA) took the necessary steps for Military Base Number 2 to be operational as a mixed air terminal, in order to support productive and social growth in the region.
