Nuevo Leon looking to attract Chinese automaker

The Government of Nuevo Leon is close to formalizing a third appointment with representatives from a Chinese assembly company, for this upcoming month of April.

Samuel Peña Guzman, Sub-secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Labor (SEDET), pointed out that at a press conference this is not a car producer the size of Ford, Kia or GM, but they are coming to Mexico looking to serve both the internal and the Latin American markets.

Without revealing the name of the firm, the officer said there is great interest from the State Government to take advantage of the incentives its Chinese counterpart grants to companies that are looking to expand their operations into foreign countries.
