Siemens confirms promise of investing US$200 million in Mexico

In the framework of the visit from the German chancellor, Angela Merkel to Mexico, Siemens is reasserting its trust in the Mexican economy, with a US$200 million investment and the creation of 1,000 jobs over the next 10 years. Joe Kaeser, CEO of Siemens, is representing the German Company, as it gambles on electrification, automation and digitization, to increase the competitiveness of this Latin American Country and drive sustainable development. The Company indicated that this investment might generate projects in important economic sectors, for a value of up to US$36 billion.
