Vertiv plans to invest US$150 million in expansion

Vertiv, a company specializing in critical infrastructure for data centers, announced a US$150 million investment to expand its plant in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. This decision will increase the manufacturing capacity of its operations in Mexico and create 1,000 direct jobs to meet the growing international demand for technology infrastructure.
The project aims to strengthen the production of equipment for data center infrastructure—a market experiencing sustained growth—driven by the expansion of artificial intelligence applications, cloud storage, e-commerce, streaming platforms, and the accelerated digital transformation of various economic sectors.
Vertiv’s main products include uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, cooling equipment, server racks, power distribution solutions, and platforms for managing facilities where high-availability digital services operate.
Reynosa’s geographic location, its proximity to the United States, the availability of a skilled workforce, and the consolidation of its manufacturing industry have helped position the city as a destination for high-value-added investments related to electronics, automation, electrical systems, and the manufacture of technological components.
