PACCAR Mexico to invest US$2.9 million in industrial plant in Mexicali

MEXICALI, BC - PACCAR Mexico announced the investment of US$2.9 million in its industrial plant in Mexicali, Baja California, in order to strengthen the plant and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.

The company, which specializes in the manufacture of electric vehicles, stated that this capital injection will be focused on a new space for testing units produced within its infrastructure.

It also contemplates the construction of a second floor of offices, which will benefit the generation of 200 new spaces for all administrative personnel, including a cafeteria and dining room.

Preston Feight, worldwide CEO of PACCAR Inc. highlighted the importance of the team in Mexico for the company's global success.

"This investment reinforces our commitment to quality, efficiency, innovation and technology. We thank our more than 3,500 employees for their dedication and excellent results," he said.

On the other hand, Marina del Pilar, Governor of Baja California, highlighted the company for being the first manufacturer of electric charging cars in Mexico, recognizing the contribution of local talent.

Finally, Tom Reott, U.S. Consul in Mexico, emphasized the importance of the automotive sector and the relevance of Mexico as the main trading partner of the United States, mainly in cargo trucks that carry more than 70% of the trade between both countries.
