Mexican student joins Boeing

David Durán Quirarte, a graduate in Mechatronics Engineering from CETYS University Campus Mexicali, was recently hired by the aerospace company Boeing, one of the world's leading manufacturers of commercial aircraft, joining the group of CETYS graduates who are now part of its ranks in the international aerospace industry.
As part of his new responsibilities, the graduate engineer will participate in the development of key components for commercial aircraft, including navigation and temperature systems, as part of the electronic systems analysis and design team.
The selection process included technical interviews and specialized evaluations, in which David stood out for his solid preparation in areas such as electronic instrumentation, controllers, systems analysis, and programming, as well as his command of the English language and his ability to work under international standards.
During his training at CETYS, the graduate actively participated in the Fox Force representative team, dedicated to the design and manufacture of unmanned aircraft, where he served as captain of the control and engine subsystem, strengthening technical skills, leadership, and collaborative work, highly valued by companies in the aerospace sector.
He also participated in an academic exchange in South Korea, where he took advanced courses in mechanical and electrical engineering, strengthening his international profile, English language skills, and ability to adapt to highly demanding academic environments.
"Honestly, I don't think I would have gotten to where I am today if I had gone to any other university. I am very grateful to CETYS, my professors, my classmates, the Fox Force team, and everything I was able to learn. Here, I was taught English, in addition to engineering: the subjects, the projects, and all the technical aspects. But equally important are soft skills: communication, how to express ideas, and how to handle stressful situations. I feel that I was able to learn all of that here at CETYS," shared the graduate.
This achievement also positions Baja California as a benchmark in the training of talent with global projection and reaffirms the role of universities, such as CETYS, capable of training engineers who are qualified to join the world's leading technology and aerospace companies.
