AMGN recognizes the energy role of natural gas

In an increasingly challenging global energy landscape, the Mexican Natural Gas Association (AMGN) celebrates the Mexican government’s strategic vision in recognizing natural gas as a matter of national importance and identifying it as a fundamental pillar of energy security, national competitiveness, a socially responsible energy transition, and the well-being of Mexican families.

Natural gas is a fundamental driver of well-being, as it enables a reliable and efficient electricity supply, strengthens industrial development and competitiveness, encourages the creation and growth of regional production chains, promotes investment, and provides daily well-being and energy equity to millions of households through savings on energy costs compared to other energy sources.

Today, the lesson is clear: Mexico’s energy security is built on a long-term vision, regulatory certainty, decisions grounded in technical evidence, technological innovation, and collaboration among the public sector, society, academia, and industry.
