Bosch Opens New Plant in Nuevo León
Bosch, provider of automotive technology and services, has opened a new Bosch Home Comfort plant in Ciénega de Flores, specializing in air conditioning, that represents an investment of US$300 million and creates 900 jobs. Similarly, the company has also opened corporate offices in San Pedro Garza García, according to the state government.
The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, took the time to visit the new plant, accompanied by Paul Thomas, president of Bosch North America and Mobility Americas; Alexander Firsching, president of Bosch Mexico; and Emmanuel Loo, undersecretary of Investment and Innovation. The governor emphasized collaboration with the German company to boost its growth and support local suppliers.
The state secretary of economy, Betsabe Rocha, emphasized that the continued presence and expansion of global companies help strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem, creating opportunities for its development and specialized talent.
Bosch currently has a diverse presence in Nuevo León through various businesses in Industrial Technology (Rexroth), Consumer Goods (BSH), and air conditioning solutions (BHC), with operations in manufacturing, engineering, sales, and maintenance.
During Governor García's speech, it was also announced that ITW would invest US$39 million and create 550 new jobs.
