Production of the 2027 Chevy Silverado HD Begins in November

General Motors has set a date for the start of production of the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado HD, which will take place at the Flint, Michigan, assembly plant in November, according to a report from GM Authority.

According to the report, the exact date will depend on the cab configuration and will begin with the Crew Cab variants, whose Start of Regular Production (SORP) is scheduled for November 16, 2026.

The Double Cab models will follow a week later, on November 23, and finally, the Regular Cab will begin production on November 30.

The Detroit-based automaker will launch the order configurator on September 17, while Chevrolet dealerships will be able to begin taking orders shortly thereafter.

It’s worth noting that these dates are tentative and could change at any time before the official launch.

The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado HD does not feature any major updates, as is to be expected from a model whose current generation debuted in 2020.

However, the next generation is expected to debut for the 2029 model year, with production set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2028.
