Guanajuato International Airport Wins ACI’s ASQ Award

Guanajuato International Airport announced that, for the third consecutive year, it won the ASQ Passenger Experience Award, presented by Airports Council International (ACI), after being recognized as the best airport in Latin America and the Caribbean in the 2-to-5-million-passenger category.

In a press release, the airport—which is part of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP)—noted that the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) is an international program that recognizes excellence in airport service based on direct feedback from passengers.

It was noted that this award stands out for using real-time surveys conducted within airport terminals, based on a globally standardized methodology, which allows for the evaluation of various aspects of the travel experience.

It is worth noting that this recognition reflects Guanajuato International Airport’s commitment to the ongoing development of its services and to creating an increasingly efficient, comfortable, and satisfying experience for its passengers.

“Winning the ASQ for the third consecutive year confirms that our passengers recognize the daily efforts we make to improve their travel experience. With a historic investment, coupled with growth in capacity and connectivity, we continue to strengthen Guanajuato International Airport as a world-class airport,” said Paola Olivo, the airport’s administrator. The award was presented to the Secretary of the Guanajuato State Government, Jorge Daniel Jiménez Lona, during the airport’s 2026 Advisory Committee meeting.

“We recognize the quality, vision, and commitment of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico to the development of our airport—a symbol of pride for Guanajuato—which in recent years has modernized its facilities, strengthened its profile, and rightfully secured a place among the most important airports in the country.”

“We know this is just the beginning, because as technology continues to advance, new challenges and opportunities arise in the communications sector, where the role of airports will become increasingly important,” he said.
