No fuss necessary, the Detroit automaker General Motors builds a couple new structures at its manufacturing complex in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, local media revealed.
The main building starts at a greenfield adjacent to the Finsa Industrial Park in the GM complex domains, where the construction works show an important investment is taking place, however, the purpose of these facilities is still unknown.
Jaime Guerra Perez, Coahuila state Secretary of Economy and Tourism, recently said in a couple interviews that the company works on “very important projects”, but he has declined to detail further given the current complexity in the business environment due to the renegotiation of NAFTA.
Another company that recently hinted about a new project is Lear Corporation, of which an executive said, during a ceremony to receive a recognition from J.D. Power, that it has been selected as one of the suppliers for the GM’s "C1 program", which is about an SUV whose first preproduction tests runs are scheduled for the end of the year.
