ELECTRONICS Connect HER gathers leaders in Guanajuato

The inaugural edition of ELECTRONICS Connect HER – Electronics & Manufacturing Edition 2026 was held: an event in Guanajuato that brings together businesswomen, academics, government officials, students, and industry leaders to discuss women’s leadership and its strategic role in the electronics industry.
Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Muñoz Ledo’s vision promotes a people-centered economic policy, based on the conviction that growth only makes sense when it creates opportunities for more women and men to develop their talents and build a better future.
Guanajuato has established itself as one of the country’s most important industrial states, with a growing presence in strategic sectors such as the automotive industry, electromobility, advanced manufacturing, medical devices, aeronautics, semiconductors, and electronics—industries that require highly specialized human capital.
For this reason, the Ministry of Economy is working across sectors with the Center for Electronic Design and Integrated Circuits (CEDECI) of the State Training Institute (IECA), institutions of higher education, and international organizations to develop the skills required by the electronics industry today.
The Secretary of Economy emphasized that women’s leadership is now one of the state’s key assets for competitiveness; over the past two decades, women’s participation in Guanajuato’s economy has risen from 39% to 45%, bringing more than 408,000 women into the economically active population.
Currently, more than 1.1 million women are part of the state’s economic engine, and nearly 29,000 are employers, generating investment, jobs, and well-being for thousands of families.
