Emerson to build new plant in Chihuahua
CHIHUAHUA, CHIH - The head of the Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), Ulises Fernández Gamboa, was present at the laying of the first stone of the new Emerson plant, in Chihuahua, which will generate 600 direct jobs.
The project, located in the Bafar Norte Industrial Complex, will have an investment of close to US$22.5 million, and once completed, will directly benefit the people of the capital and local development.
Ulises Fernandez Gamboa, emphasized that Chihuahua has become synonymous of productivity, progress and development, being proud that a leading company in flow measurement technologies such as Emerson, bets and contributes to the economic development of the state.
He mentioned that, Governor Maru Campos' commitment is to continue and redouble efforts to accelerate economic growth, proof of this is the arrival of new investments, which are possible thanks to the conditions of certainty that have been achieved in the state.
“We will continue working with determination to attract more investments like this one, which not only strengthen our economy, but also improve the quality of life of the people of Chihuahua by generating more and better opportunities,” he said.
For his part, Emerson's vice president of global operations, Michael Muck, thanked the state government for its commitment and support in facilitating the company's growth.
“Chihuahua has an ideal location for manufacturing, which will help position Emerson to competitively meet the future needs of our measurement instrumentation customers in the region,” he said.
Emerson already operates one plant, which employs more than 700 Chihuahuenses, and with this expansion reaffirms its confidence in the state as a key investment destination.
