Harting Manufacturing: A decade promoting connectivity

After a decade of operations in Mexico, Harting Manufacturing has established itself as one of the German group’s most important plants globally, having positioned its facility in Guanajuato as the top-performing operation among the company’s 15 manufacturing sites worldwide.

The company—which specializes in industrial connectivity solutions—has invested nearly US$18 million in Guanajuato and created approximately 650 jobs since opening its first plant in 2016 within Guanajuato Puerto Interior in Silao.

The growth of the Mexican operation has occurred in parallel with the advancement of highly specialized industries such as electromobility, automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing—sectors for which Harting develops industrial connectors, cabling systems, switches, and solutions for data, signal, and power transmission.

Its solutions are used in sectors such as transportation, renewable energy, industrial automation, mechanical engineering, and electromobility—areas that currently account for a significant portion of the technological transformation of global manufacturing.
